It’s designed for both indoor and outdoor protection when cooking, grilling and BBQ’ing. After years of making constant improvements to our Professional Chef’s Oven Mitts, we can finally say that our mitt will give you the most bang for your hard earned bucks- PERIOD! This year, we have made 7- that’s right count’ em on both hands… 7 MAJOR improvements! The first major improvement was to extend the length to 17 inches long-to reduce forearm grease and steam burns.
Our extra thick 2mil heat resistant nylon thread binds our heavy duty canvas to our new and improved double padded, super soft quilted inner liner. We’ve also increased our binding edge for easy sliding on and off, as well as extended the hanging loops; so it’s way easier to hang on any kitchen hook. Since we’ve doubled our flame retardant exterior coating to support temperatures of up to 425 Degrees for 30 seconds, you will need to spot wipe any stains to prevent the magic of our fire retardant coating from being washed away (so don’t wash our Professional Chef’s Oven Mitts). One last small change we’ve made was to use a much thicker canvas, so when you first use our mitts, they will feel a little stiff ( well, a lot stiff), but over time, they will soften up and be easy to handle flat baking sheets, pots, smoker racks, hot cooking tools and BBQ tongs. A lot of our customers have also used our Professional Chef’s Oven Mitts to clean out their fireplaces and wood smokers ( but don't ever use them- ever never ever- to load in wood logs into a working fire-ever!!).
